Painting Skin

I am trying to make myself familiar with painting skin, esp Indian skintones, There's so much variety in skin tones here. I will try to get atleast a few common tones in upcoming sketches. Here's a first try of anxious passenger waiting for his flight boarding announcement in Mumbai airport.

As I get to spend few months in Munich, I want to paint whenever I can.

This one below is view of Olympia tower from my room. 

and yesterday I went to a huge cemetery near by. There are lots of interesting places  there, I might go early one day and try to capture the light better. 

A Master has left us

One of the great masters of animation - Isao Takahata passed away. what an unfathomable loss. There are some people we never meet in person but we are so moved by their work, that we feel so close to them. His movies made me laugh, cry and think and changed me forever. A true legend. Rest in Peace master Takahata.
